Acharya Subarna

Acharya Subarna GoshSubarna was born in India and lived in various places while growing up – Bhubaneshwar, Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune. Along with formal academics she was involved in many activities during childhood, like dance, music, sports, essay writing, recitation and elocution. However, she was always looking for more meaning in life. She completed her B.E. from the University of Pune, and then came to the US for MS and PhD. Within a few years, she realized, through her own experiences and that of others, that academic degrees, commonly sought-after jobs, relationships, wealth, name, fame – nothing could fill the ever-growing void within.

In 2014, after completing her PhD in Computer Science, she joined the 2-year intensive Residential Vedanta Course at Sandeepany Sadhanalaya, Powai, India and studied at the feet of Swami Bodhatmanandaji. Today, under her Acharya’s guidance and instructions she is teaching Vedanta in Bellevue where she lives with her husband Manavender Reddy.
